On-Site & Remote Service

(On-Site Service)

What is an "On-Site" Service?

- On-site services involve having our technicians deliver IT services and support directly to your location, eliminating the need for you to transport heavy equipment to a repair shop.

On-Site Repair Requirements:

There are a few requirements for a technician to perform an on-site service:

  • On-site repairs will require a suitable desk and chair to temporarily use as a work bench. Desk work area roughly (152 (W) x 76 (D) x 76cm (H). This involves removing any personal items other than the device requiring repairs.

  • At least one power outlet (extension cable provided if required)

Our Techie is equipped with repair mats and service tools to prevent damage to your property, although we still suggest using an old in-expensive desk.

(Remote Service)

What is Remote service?

Remote service involves a technician who provides I.T services and support from a remote location through virtual means. At IllawarraTechie we suggest using TeamViewer software, which is free and can be setup on a PC Desktop, Macintosh or Laptop.

Remote Service Requirements:

There are a few requirements for a technician to perform a remote service:

  • A Techie will be required to connect to your device through the use of TeamViewer software, this is done through remote control information listed in the software. You can download TeamViewer software here.

  • A stable internet connection

  • A suitable booking time for the remote connection to take place.

  • A functional speaker and microphone to communicate with the Techie. If we are unable to communicate through the TeamViewer software we will call through the provided number on the booking form.
