    IllawarraTechie does not provide unlocking services, be it for carriers or reset protection (iCloud, Google, etc.). We are unable to assist with these specific requests.
  • Can you guarantee data recovery on my device?
    Certainly, the most appropriate response is 'no'; data recovery varies depending on the device. IllawarraTechie will make an attempt at data recovery if deemed feasible. However, devices with severe physical or liquid damage may require the expertise of lab data recovery specialists for advanced recovery options. Should such advanced recovery options be considered more suitable, IllawarraTechie will provide recommendations accordingly.
  • How long will my service take?
    Our services cover a range of timeframes, spanning from same-day services to special orders requiring a few business days, and in some cases, orders taking weeks. We believe in transparency, and therefore, we will provide you with an estimated turnaround time beforehand. For certain services, a deposit may be necessary, and this will be discussed prior to initiating any part orders.

  • Will my water-resistance rating be void after repair?
    If a device needs to be opened for repair and features a water-resistant seal, the answer is typically yes. During the manufacturing process, devices undergo extensive lab tests to ensure water resistance. If we anticipate that breaking the water-resistant seal is necessary for the repair, we will inform you beforehand, allowing you to decide whether to proceed with the service.
  • If I restore my device, will that wipe all my data?
    A factory restore wipes all data from the device, returning it to its original factory settings.     If you encounter significant drops in internet speeds or complete outages, we recommend reaching out to your Internet Service Provider first to address any issues with your paid service. Our Techie can provide assistance once a stable internet connection is being provided by your Internet Service Provider.
  • Why Choose a Wired Network over a Wireless Network?
    Wired networks are commonly favored by businesses and gamers for their slightly higher reliability and guaranteed speed. However, limitations may arise, such as the location of the Ethernet port, which can hinder the implementation of this type of network connectivity.
  • Do you replace NBN batteries?
    We do not replace NBN batteries and strongly recommend reaching out to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for a replacement to prevent any potential damages.
